My name is Vanessa! I think we will get to know each other with time, but for now I will introduce myself.
I am a woman who likes to experience, try, learn and fail, love or hate. I like to try all kinds of things, and all kinds of sports. It keeps things interesting, and all those skills could always be useful. I mean someday they might, we never know… What can be applied to everyday life is definitely the state of mind; the discipline I come across doing all those things. I find myself thinking about what I learned, how I can apply it to my life, and hope it helps me grow as a person. I like to feel strong, be strong, and feel like I can do anything I set my mind too. Just give me the tools, I’m ready!
This is what my training is to me. It’s a lifestyle. Although it sounds terribly cliché, it’s the truth. It saved my life, and continues to do so everyday. My health is my top priority, and that’s non negotiable. It might not look it now, but I’ve had some roadblocks thrown my way on that front. I saw myself deteriorate to someone I couldn’t even recognize physically, and mentally. I never want to go back to that. The battle with myself is constant, but I will never let her win. Instead, I channel all my energy into what is helping me be my best self going from sports, to food, to clothes.
I’ve been with Alowa Apparel for almost as long as they’ve been alive. When I found them, I fell in love. I fell in love with not only the clothes, but with the company and the community. The company because behind all the lovely things she creates, the owner has a vision. A vision of empowering women through clothes and well being. I think she succeeded because through time I saw a community flourish into what it is today, and in time it will only grow. The Alowa community is an army of beautiful women (and some men) ready to take on the world. What a beautiful thing to be a part of! Genuine and real people who are not afraid to share their story and support others.
This is what I am all about! Positivity through learning and growing as a human being, no one is perfect, and that’s OK. I would like to share with you my journey with Alowa Apparel, and tell you how I like to match my outfits for different activities whether it’s for comfort or agility, but always to feel confident.
